McCarthyism was fascists, racists and the like attacking anti-racists and peace
movements. Going after those who promote hatred, fascism and holocaust denial
are the exact opposite. Perhaps Rick shouldn't post when drunk.

I actually have produced a rather long list here, several times, of the things
that were published by well-known Holocaust deniers, anti-abortion terrorists
and anti-Semites in the Radical Paper or on the Radical Website (posted directly
by the "good man" Topham) on this list. Again, they are:

Paul Fromm
David Icke
Gordon Watson
Lyndon LaRouche
and others.

also, there are numerous articles put together on Kevin Annett, a man who has
seriously offended the Native population by republishing their testimonies of
abuse at the hands of BC residential schools, and (breaking every known code of
conduct for research and respect of ethics in conducting an investigation)
refusing to return to their owners said materials.

Recently, Arthur Topham himself made the comments I'll add at the end of the
email.

Amnesty International and the Dalai Lama are not the friends of the oppressed,
either-- but George W Bush, et al, but I do not want to go into that (takes too
much time...if anyone asks, I'll gladly explain my problem with both of the
these to any who care. Suffice to say, it isn't that Amnesty works to end
torture, but that Amnesty only works when it makes good headlines and helps
raise funds. They have been a party to the genocide of Palestine at the hands of
Israel by consistently playing down the atrocities.

In the meantime, I have noticed all over Vancouver small little scrawls of the
Star of David with the words "evil"and "Jewspaper" written on newspaper boxes.
With that as really making a comeback, we cannot let these filth spread their
hatred, nor use the conduit they see it fit to do so.

I wish everyone a great Christmas, and will say nothing more on this matter.

The Radical has not apologised for promoting these hateful dangerous characters;
it defends it. I can back up these things quite easily.

If anyone wants to see where the materials being spoken of appear, then I'll
happily describe so offlist, and ask only that all of it be forwarded to Rick by
the requestor so that people know I operate in public and accountable to the
movement I am a part of, something that Arthur Topham wouldn't dream of doing.

Arthur Topham in his own words (only three weeks ago):

fowarded collection, pulled together by Josh Brandon: jbrandon at sfu.ca

A few quotes on Arthur's denial of the holocaust and other issues:

"Curiosity on my part begs the question as to
why you are so concerned about Holocaust deniers in the first
place. Are you Jewish? Orthodox? Zionist? Sympathizer?"

"the numbers of victims have been inflated in order to serve certain
propaganda purposes".

"Actually Josh the most uptodate figures on the actual numbers
killed in the camps and acknowledged by the Jewish people
themselves is somewhere around 1 and 1/2 million. This is
common knowledge."

On explaining those who "persecute" him:
"Possibly these individuals are carrying past-life karma. They may
even be those who died in the various concentration camps and have
returned to remind the rest of us to be vigilant."

On his publishing policy:
"There was one exception and that was an article by Paul Fromm [also
a noted holocaust denier] which I ran prior to realizing who he was
and that he hated hippies. When I found that out I immediately stopped
carrying anything of his."

Arthur claims he is not a holocaust denier, but his words speak
otherwise.
