Local 603 of the BCGEU, the Local that includes MHR Financial Assistance
Workers and MCFD Social Workers, is sponsoring a panel discussion
entitled, "End Poverty, Not Welfare".  

Panelist will discuss how workers, anti-poverty activists, advocates and
clients can work together to fight back against the Campbell Liberal
government cuts to social services. There will be opportunity for
discussion and questions from the floor after the panel.

Panelists include:

Seth Klein, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives
Terry Morris, Mental Health Advocate and Consumer
Anton Pilipa, Anti-Poverty Committee
Tom Mcgregor, BC Coalition of People with Disabilities
Charlie Hodgson, Clinical Supervisor, Ministry of Children and Family 
Development
Ginger Richards, FAW, Ministry of Human Resources
