Heyo -
I watched it through again a couple of times and I wanna say that I'm
really happy about how this looks. Thank you both Boban and Danielle for
putting so much work into porst-post-post produfirstction and for
respecting the ideas/structure that we had already come up with as a group.
The last version is super tight and the transitions between sections was
really well smoothed out. Anyway, happy this project is coming into
completion and excited to see it online.
As for comments, only minor ones:
- love the new title placement at the beginning.
- there are long pauses where sound cuts abruptly throughout (but I'm
assuming that will be covered by music mix?)
- most people's faces in intv. are over exposed and over contrasted
(especially Ben, Amanda, and Harsha)
- love noe's b-roll and the new interview in general
- 5:58 - Noe colours seem different from the first time we see him on
the screen
- 6:38 - b-roll mural v. blue
- 7:09 - roz history is choppy in sound.
- 9:20 - amanda is described as indigenous organizer both times she
appears --
- I think we could introduce her here as "Turtle clan, Onondowa'ga
Haudenosaunee" & indigenous organizer in the second one.
- 9:20 I would keep the part where she says "people often seek migration
here bcz they don't have a choice bcz their territories are beig destroyed"
- pre-lude to "canada is not only a colonial"....
- 11:04 - Not very smooth b-roll - (there is a portion in that same
cliptowards the end that is smoother i think)
- 13:12 & 14:30: love the music transition
- The transition to Sandra story is a bit abrupt i think - would be into
replacing roz intro to woman shelters and cbsa/police abuse towards those
- 22:53 - weird b-roll sequence -- same spot twice, looks confusing
- 30:00 -- this (and the other too) graph looks awesome
- 34:27 -- looks blue
- I personally like the quotes in the credits
That is it on my side.
Let me know if this is not clear, and if there is need for any of us to
help in what is left to be done.
thank to you all,
Nico
