[Migrantjusticedocumentary] Awkwesasne this Friday?

hi all,
i think it would be really important to go and film, as Awkwesasne is the
best case example of how the border infringes on the lives of Indigenous
peoples, and helps to illustrate the importance of an anti-colonial
analysis in no borders organizing.

i just remembered about the MUR meeting, so that might be tricky. to get
back in time if the meeting is at 7pm, you'd probably want to leave
Awkwesasne by 3:30pm or 4pm to be safe and avoid traffic. the demo starts
at 9am, so that would be a big day. what are people's thoughts on that? is
it not possible?

i think it would be important to put money from the budget towards this.
the more i'm thinking too, there will probably be other things that come up
outside mtl that will be important to film (for example, meetings with
workers in st-hyacinthe, actions in Ottawa, meetings with ministers in
Quebec City, etc.). we should definitely have another conversation about
our budget at the next meeting, but how do folks feel about making a snap
decision on covering the travel costs to Awkwesasne to film this?

i've emailed a bunch of other anti-colonial peeps in mtl to see if others
are driving down for this. i'll keep you all posted.
