Laura and I looked at this together yesterday and I am seriously a bit
worried, looking up what it takes to install a bathroom in a basement,
and talking to some folks who know a bit more about plumbing it seems
much more complicated than I had possibly expected.
- There is much less pressure for flushing due to lack of gravity. the
majority of things I read recommend installing special toilets with
higher drain pressure or other expensive sounding things
- it seems like we will have to rip open the floor to get to the main
waste drain line - cutting through concrete without knowing where shit
is sounds pretty dangerous to me...
I am reaching out to friends and networks to see if there is a plumber
hiding somewhere who could help us have a look at plans, but honestly I
am getting a bit weary if this is beyond our capacities...
:(
