Let me tell you -- at the end of the first week of the campaign, I'm bursting with energy! We're starting with great momentum and really keeping the Liberals' feet to the fire.

Earlier in the week, I was in Surrey and New Westminster where we highlighted Gordon Campbell's broken promises and hospital closures that have put our health care at risk.

And yesterday, I was in Prince George for a campaign stop where I called for a public inquiry into the billion dollar BC Rail giveaway.

Everywhere I go, I hear British Columbians telling me they are tired of old-style leadership and divisive politics in B.C. I believe the time has come for new ideas, for working together to end confrontation, and for focussing on solutions that make life better and more affordable for every British Columbian.

That's why I'm asking you to support the BC NDP election campaign. We need your support right now to keep up the momentum.

I refuse to believe in Gordon Campbell's doom-and-gloom politics. I believe, as do many British Columbians, that our province holds limitless opportunities, and that our prosperity must be shared and enjoyed among all British Columbians. But now is a critical time in the campaign. We have had a good start -- now we need to keep up the momentum so we can be successful on May 17th.
