*This event is being sponsored and endorsed by the Council of Canadians,
January 1st Collective, SFU Institute of the Humanities and Stop TPP.*
Join us on December 8th to learn more about one of the largest multilateral
corporate rights agreements being pursued by the Canadian government along
with growing list of 11 other countries. The success of large multilateral
agreements, like the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), has been limited in
large part because of popular opposition. We can build similar opposition
to the TPP beginning by educating each other about the agreement.
The text has been released and we will continue to learn more about how the
far reaching agreement will impact different levels of government,
indigenous communities, public health, migrants, the environment, internet
freedom, food systems and much more. A panel presentation will be speak on
what we know so far as well as the serious concerns raised more broadly by
these agreements, how they are developed and who they aim to serve.
Presenters:
*Cease Wyss* - Skwxw’u7mesh ethnobotanist, media artist, educator, and food

*Lisa Barrett* - civil mediator and public policy researcher.
*Colleen Fuller* - researcher and writer, covering health and
pharmaceutical policy.
