Hi!

Thanks for keeping in touch with us and being interested in our work, it
makes us feel really good to know we're on to something :-)

Even though our name could imply that we've achieved our goal, the work
before us is far from over! Right now we are actually in the midst of
planning our next event, and we want to invite you to help give it shape.
Here are a few things for you to check out:

1. *Your ideas are needed!* We meet pretty much every Wednesday at 7 PM,
usually at the Heartwood Cafe (317 E Broadway) on Broadway near Kingsway,
and it would be great for you to come along! This week we'll meet there on
January 15 to plan our next event, and surely your ideas will help make it
better. No need to bring anything, just show up!

2. Please mark your calendars! We're still planning details, but so far
we've nailed down the basics for our next event:

*Chips+Salsa vs Free Trade*
Let's learn about TPP, NAFTA, and how to make a free trade-killing salsa!
Jan. 27, 2014. 6-9 PM.
Calvary Baptist Church hall (1803 East 1st Ave, between Commercial and
Victoria Dr.)

3. There is a call-out for an inter-continental day of action against the
TPP on January 31, 2014 (facebook.com/events/374314856046054), so make sure
to check it out and keep and eye/ear out for activities. In fact, there is
a day of action today and tomorrow, which perhaps interests you:

As you can see, we're only a few weeks into 2014, but already there's all
kinds of things happening. Please let us know if you're interested in
participating on any activity with us, or if you have ideas to propose, and
don't forget to like our page (facebook.com/january1stcollective) to keep
in the loop.

Thanks and see you soon!
