hey folks, sent an email to the list last night but have not seen it go
through. I will take a look at the list today if I can.
Gil, is it possible to switch my subscribed email address to
harjap at resist.ca? I can access lists on there easier.
pasting the email again below.

Dear *****
We, the January 1st Collective, are organizing a march on to commemorate
the Zapatistas uprising in 1994 on the day that the North American Free
Trade Agreement was implemented. In doing so we hope to both honour the
struggles of the past while helping to re-ignite our movements to work
collaboratively in opposition to corporate power, "trade" agreements and
the neo-liberal, capitalist and colonial forces we continue to struggle
against today.
We ask you to please join us on January 1st at 2 pm for a march through the
streets of Vancouver.
ENDORSEMENT!
We would also ask your organization, collective or group to please endorse
this action. An endorsement would require 3 main asks: 1) we could list
your name as an endorsing organization, 2) your commitment to circulate the
call-out/event information on your email lists and through your social
media networks and 3) most importantly, bring yourselves, your membership
and supporters to the march on the 1st of January.
Please send all endorsements to: jan1stcollective at gmail.com

Our Struggle Against Corporate Power Continues
*Wednesday, January 1st, 2014 at 2:00 pm*
*Waterfront Skytrain Station (Train Station Entrance)*
*601 West Cordova Street (cross street Seymour)*
*Unceded Coast Salish Territories, Vancouver*
This is a family friendly march.

Almost two decades have passed since Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) were the
hot topic, when the incredible resistance to the World Trade Organization
at Seattle covered front pages across the globe, and the Zapatistas of
Chiapas, Mexico were on everyone’s minds. Even the powerful music and
message of Rage Against the Machine seems like ancient history!
But two decades have not been enough to normalize the almost complete
destruction of our social safety nets (health care, education, unemployment
insurance programs), the impoverished living and working conditions that
are constantly getting worse, and the general dispossession that thousands
of people across North America and the rest of the world have endured due
to these agreements.
Two decades of FTAs have also meant two decades of resistance, and on
January 1st, 2014 we’re celebrating that we’re still here, re-building our
communities.
Bring your friends, family, comrades and join in on this international day
of action!
