[Iyf-ct] really really free market - communitree

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought the communitree was a paid market?
As i recall, weren't they ve people who organised the event in palmer road
where even kids stuff cost money? I think its really import to keep the
distinction between the rrfm and any kind of capitalist market. Property,
even the property peddled by small capitalists, is theft. Every commodity
transaction hides the violence that underlies "value" in capitalist
society. That's why even the idea of people putting stickers on things (as
has been proposed on fb) makes me edgy. In fact, i had rather a problem
with edie when she came back from the rrfm: everything she got she
jealously regarded as hers and only hers. Thus the items had resumed their
status as private property, something the stickers would also seem to
imply. So, the rrfm is meant to undermine the logic of property /
commodity, to provide a space with a different ethic. Its already hard to
do so when people enter the space on an unequal basis, but mixing in any
way with a commodity market (so if you come along with no money, you may
have this, not that) would be a disaster. Provocatively, i'd suggest that
communitree be invited to abolish themselves! Their existence is simply a
testament to the misery of life (and the holding hostage of creativity)
under capitalism.
