Mark Weinberg sent me a message saying AIDC has a video projector we could use. So I'm just putting this out there - we could possibly take some of the movies Andreas has and show them in diverse venues? Would of course take promotion, etc. Peter P.S. my friend / comrade Greg Berger, in Mexico, has done some new films recently about Swine Flu (and industrial pigfarming) and also the situation in Chiapas (where Zapatista-supporters are under seige). They're in Spanish, etc. with subtitles, but they're reasonably short - about 30 minutes, so it might be feasible to dub them to English. There are many bridges (like the one at obs station) where this kind of thing can take place. I went to a traveling art exhibition that paused under that bridge a little while back, it also managed to book the last train ride back to mznbrg from town and things happened on the train, that was great. wonder if that would be at all possible...might be tricky though, but it's a good location. Also then we would need to organise taxi/bus rides back for everyone and it all gets a bit expensive. but if we keep our eyes open for places (perhaps a park with a big wall) then in summer Im sure we can organise a free outdoor screening. Will anyone be attending the art/auction market in mznbrg after the meeting this sat? On Fri, Aug 7, 2009 at 6:13 PM, Peter van Heusden wrote: > Yeah... add generator to the list of requirements. Here, very briefly are some of the ourtcomes: - Meghan is going to work on a design/logo for the RRFM pamphlet (Andreas has started on the text); perhaps the same design can also be used on a banner. - Peter will explore the website options, perhaps putting together a free Wordpress site in the absence of other options. - Andreas will work on some text for a Facebook group and/or fan page. - Everybody to start thinking about and compiling what they personally are planning to contribute (items, services, activities). - Everybody to think about and talk to other individuals and groups that might want to participate and whom we might want to invite. - Next meeting: Sat 29 August, 1.30 pm at Andreas' house (70 Queen Victoria Road, Claremont, 084 772 1056).
