Hi Folks:
This is Peter's email, Jess, in case you didn't get it. The three files are
the minutes, the land acknolwedgement statement, and the AGM description
that I built into the document you and Nikki created. I did send that out
to Evan in preparation for the GMM a few minutes ago. I sincerely hope this
is okay. He was looking for something by tonight and I need to get to bed
soon so I fired it off. Again, hope this is okay.
Also, yes, I think it makes perfect sense to split the membership fee for
the carshare.
I think that's it. Thanks for printing this off for us, Jess. See folks
tomorrow.

Attached are minutes from our meeting the other day, a draft land
acknowledgment for the equity committee, and a draft description of
donation/campaign commitee for the AGM. What do y'all think?
Also, I know donation stuff will be getting handled in committee from now
on, but did the donation we approved for The Tower ever get issued?

Definitely okay with both of those funding requests as well. How upsetting
it must be to be locked away for that amount of time. Hopefully the 2000 is

Thanks for the speedy replies. It looks like maybe Monday will work best
for folks since a few seem to be going to Dylan's talk at the Tower anyway.
I think meeting in the back room would be ideal if we end up conflicting
with people setting up.
5:30 or 6 works fine by me, but I do need to head out by 7:15. If we were
to say 5:30 would you still be able to make part of the meeting,
Marguerite? What do others think about 5:30 at the Tower?

A couple of things for the agenda, if we have time after structural stuff
-The folks from Elsipogtog received the cheque for the cellphone and are
very grateful. They've written to me again to ask for support for their
travel to Ottawa in August (they borrowed money to make the trip and want
to repay it as soon as possible). We'd agreed in principle to support their
travel already, so it shouldn't be too hard a decision. The documents they
submitted outlining their plans should still be in the iswg email, or I can
try to find it too.
-Apparently chris thunder is in jail?

The fundraising website points out that he was arrested while travelling to
Hamilton catch a ride on the bus to the social forum, a bus that we helped
support. It feels pretty crummy to think that Chris has been inside this
whole time and I didn't know... I was even keeping my eyes open for him in
Ottawa since he said he was coming... Want to kick him down some dollars
for legal?

Hello Nikki! Hope everything is well.
Thanks for organizing us, Jess. It is appreciated. I think you're right on
in terms of meeting to get ourselves up to speed and functioning again. I
can meet Monday or Tuesday but not Saturday, although on Monday there is an
event with Dylan Powell happening at the Tower. I'm wondering if we could
meet before that maybe? Or Tuesday is also fine for me. Looking forward to
hearing about all of the ideas and getting updates from folks.
I have been following the story of the earth ship in the TRT. What an
amazing project. I am more than okay with utilizing the car share to
support this work.

Because the GMM is a week from this Monday we'd like to try and meet early
next week ideally so that we have time to flush out the proposal and submit
it to the agenda. Please reply soon with which of the following would work
for you:
this Saturday the 27th - afternoon
Monday the 29th - before 8
Tuesday the 30th - after 7
Also, Niki and I are looking to book the CarShare for this coming Sunday to
go out to the res to visit Skyler and Tawney and help with all of the work
they're doing on their earth ship project. Our plan is to book a van (from
10-6pm) so that we can also take Danielle's kid's with us for the visit. If
anyone has any concerns about using CarShare feel free to let us know. If
you haven't heard about the earth ship project, here's some info:
