Sorry I missed the meet some of you had yesterday. I had other meetings the last two nights.
I was unable to get the time off work on Sunday, so I'm working until 3pm. I can get to the Tower around 3:20. I can definitely give my key to someone else though, so that you can access the space starting whenever you need.

hey guys,
You can actually take me off this list and put me on that other list of people who want to come to things but aren't in the inner organizing circle. I am going to continue not to have the capacity for much in the way of organizing and I don't need to get all the emails.
thanks again for all the work you're doing and see you at the workshop.

Hi Jess:
Yes, I can meet you tonight. Please text me if anything comes up. If not, see you at seven at the Mulberry. Hope others can join.
I don't mind meeting at noon on Sunday. Is that where we plan to hold the workshop, then, at the Tower? 281 Cannon East I believe?
Thanks,
Tony

Great. I'll suggest 7pm at Mulberry.
Tony, I think it would be worthwhile for the two of us to meet even if others can't. Perhaps we could also plan to meet with everyone, including John, in advance of the workshop Sun? Maybe at noon-ish if something else isn't happening at the Tower?

Hi folks:
Yes, I can meet tomorrow evening if others can. Time and place?
What do others think?
Take care,

Thanks a lot Tony, for sending out that save the date email. I was planning to do it Friday and it totally slipped my mind.
How would tomorrow (Wed) evening work for a quick meet up to discuss the workshop? I wouldn't want to wait much later than that so that we can get back to John with some time before Sunday. Sorry I couldn't get back in time for a meet up yesterday!

Hi everyone:
Thanks, Jess. Yes, I think it would be a good idea to meet with him beforehand for sure.
Can anyone meet tomorrow evening by any chance? It is a holiday, so people might be away, but we can try? What do folks think? Maybe later in the week?
I'll send out the save the date now. I will put time and location tentative I suppose? Are we thinking of The Tower from 2 until 5?
Thanks folks,
Tony

ok, i'll let John know we seem to be good for the afternoon. maybe i could tell him 2-5ish so he has a time to work with.
way back, when we had initially talked about someone like John facilitating a workshop, we thought about meeting beforehand with him to share ideas, so maybe i could also see if John could meet up beforehand on the 25th at noon or so? we also may want to think about sharing some of what our other conversations have touched on so he can pick up on themes if he'd like to.
in terms of meeting ourselves, what about this sunday or monday? can anyone send out a save the date message to the workshop group?

Hi everyone:
Yes, thanks for staying in touch with, John, Jess. Much appreciated. Looking forward to this workshop. No, I don't think we formally decided, but I do think if the afternoon works for Nikki and everyone else then perhaps we should go with the afternoon? I am certainly okay with that time.
What does everyone think about a meeting sometime soon to more formally chat? I think Peter, David, and I spent a great deal of time last meeting talking about how awesome the new space was instead of other stuff.
Take care,
Tony

Hi all, thanks for organizing this! Sorry I haven't been able to help. I'd love to come if it's in the afternoon, but I'm busy in the evening. My capacity is pretty low, but let me know if there's any small things I can do to help, like with food or childcare (if it's in the afternoon--otherwise I look forward to hearing all about it!)
Thanks again for all the great work you're all doing & hope to see you soon!

Let's do the 25th. If that date works for him, it works for us.

hi all, thanks for the update Tony.
relatedly, Hayden King wrote a great piece in the Globe: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/after-atleo-does-the-assembly-of-first-nations-serve-any-purpose/article18459188/?cmpid=rss1
i spoke to John and he is still available on the 25th. right now he is open, so did we discuss/decide on a time that i can relay?

Hi everyone:
Thanks for sending, Jess. Very telling that Atleo quit over this and now the government has backed down. I am amazed it took so long but good on him for doing so and revealing how poorly supported the bill was. Another instance of ridiculous, patriarchal legislation twithin this country. Sorry, I took minutes from our last meeting and left for Ottawa the next day and forgot to bring them with me. I'm finally back later this week and will send them around, but I believe everyone was okay with May 25th if I'm not mistaken?
Take care,
Tony
