Hi team,

Here's the minutes from our meeting on Sunday.

-Reportback on last workshop
-8-10 people attended, which felt like a comfortable number for discussion
-Facilitation was organized around what distinguishes indigenous languages and in what ways are struggles around language part of broader decolonization struggles
-Peter will follow-up with Bob Lovelace to thank him again for his articles, to update him on our discussion, and to encourage him to be in touch if there are any projects he thinks we could support

-There is still a lot of interest in language -- we'd like to find a speaker about language reclamation
-Jess will check in with John and Tehanee
-Peter will ask around the Indigenous studies department
-Watch the video Jess sent around a while back!

-History workshop
-We've been talking for a while about doing a workshop on local history of solidarity. A tangible way to procede is to start putting together histories of some of the particular tendencies most interesting to us.
   -Still a longer term project...

-Funding request
-Spring Thaw Event -- $300 donation, and contact the local organizers to see if they can use any other support for the event itself

Next meeting: 1pm Sunday April 6th.
