New cars for 2014
The co-op has just launched five brand-new 2014 Toyota Corollas into the
fleet, replacing some of our older Toyota Yarises. The new Corollas are
located in Kitchener & Waterloo at the following locations: Cameron, City
of Kitchener, VIA Rail, Sun Life, and Grebel College.
A 2014 Toyota Matrix was also added in Hamilton in November to a new
station at the corner of York and James, becoming the co-op's 10th CarShare
vehicle in Hamilton!
We are also busy planning new vehicle locations, and new vehicle models
(seven-seater vans!) for Spring 2014, so keep your eyes peeled for new
additions to your fleet!

Winter weather driving Since we've been wallopped with winter weather as of
late, just a few reminders for you about our fleet and winter driving:
- All of the co-op's vehicles are equipped with snow tires.
- If the weather is such that you don't feel comfortable driving, you
may cancel your reservation at no cost. Cancel your reservation as you
normally would (either online or by phone), then notify the office
(1-855-742-7399) that you cancelled due to weather.
- Report any damage to vehicles that you observe, or that happens during
your reservation, by calling the office at 1-855-742-7399.
- If you are in an emergency situation, call the reservation line as a
first step - 1-855-266-5480 - and staff will be able to assist you.
- And finally, the best winter driving advice anyone can give: *slow
down*. Book extra time on your reservation to account for traffic and
weather delays that may occur.

London launching Spring 2014
Community CarShare is pleased to announce that we’ll be adding another city
to the co-op’s list of communities served. In 2014 London will become the
seventh municipality to have access to non-profit co-operatively-owned
carsharing!
The anticipated launch date is between March and May, and at least 3
vehicles will be available to book in the downtown core. As has worked in
many other cities, the co-op
plans to expand to other neighbourhoods (Old South, Old East, Blackfriars,
etc.) based on demand from new members in those neighbourhoods. As we know
from our experience in other areas, London has the potential to support
dozens of CarShare vehicles across the city.

The Avocado Project is building a retail co-op to help you live more
sustainably. We will seek out the highest quality and most sustainable
products available today which help you to reduce your consumption and live
better. Our online community will provide a network for members to connect
with each other and share information about food, energy, and waste. By
becoming more sustainable as a community, the Avocado Project will make it
easier to make better choices.
We are looking for enthusiasts to help us build a better organization from
the ground up. Help us accelerate the evolution to a more sustainable
world.
