Hi team,
below is a short announcement of the upcoming workshop. All we need to do is pop in the location once we know it. I forgot my stupid notebook at the nacho, so I also left the date and time blank.

Decolonizing Language Workshop
On (date) at (time) in (location), the CUPE 3906 Indigenous Solidarity Working Group will be hosting the next workshop in our series on Indigenous Solidarity and Decolonization. This session will be focused on Indigenous languages -- how is the struggle to reclaim traditional languages an essential part of decolonization? What distinguishes Indigenous languages? In what ways do colonizer languages shape our thinking and contribute to a colonized world view?
We have found three interesting texts to help guide the discussion. Attached to this email are "The Words, the Words..." by Robert Lovelace, and "Learning to be Cree through Language" by Belinda Daniel-Fiss. We also reccommend this article, "Enabling the Autumn Seed": http://www.cbu.ca/mrc/autumn-seed
Like the other workshops in this series, it is not open to the public, but rather just to people who have already been attending the series, or who are already active in Indigenous solidarity or decolonizing struggles.
We hope to see you there.
