Hey team,
A very concise update: By day 3 of Swamp Line 9, word started to trickle
down from folks at 6 Nations that the action was perceived as hurtful,
suspect, and otherwise not-groovy for perhaps 2 cetntral reasons: 1)some of
the unintentionally divisive language used in our documents, 2)the complete
lack of consultation with people at 6 Nations before this action.
There has been some behind the scenes hustle by Tom Keefer and Alex Hundert
to help us smooth this out. At one point we were told that the Mohawk
Workers were considering coming to the site to evict us themselves.
I've already had one meeting with the workers, but in the spirit of
reaching more people a public meeting has been called for tonight @ 6
Nations where some people frolm Hamilton Line 9 can stand up and present on
the issue and the action, and be accountable for some of the fuckups.

THat being said, we need a fucking car to get there.
ISWG had talked about part of our fund$ being for transport to 6 nations to
maintain/build relationships with people there.
I'm about to hop on the carshare website and book a car to take us there -
if anyone has any objctions to this, please let me know. If it turns out to
be too late, we can surely find funds for this elsewhere and reimburse the
ISWG.
