*Featured speakers: Lee Maracle, Zainab Amadahy, Sarita Ahooja and Helen
Hudson*
*LEE MARACLE* is the author of Sojourner's and Sundogs, Ravensong, Bobbi Lee,
Daughters Are Forever, Will's Garden, Bent Box, I Am Woman, and many other
works. She is an award-winning writer and teacher, and an occasional editor,
film story editor, dramaturge, stage actor and a gifted orator. Lee is of
Salish and Cree ancestry and a member of the St¨®:l¨ Nation.
*ZAINAB AMADAHY* is a writer and community worker. She is a contributor to
the anthology Strong Women¡¯s Stories: Native Vision & Community Activism as
well as authoring Moons of Palmares. Zainab is a Board member of the
Association of Native Development in the Performing & Visual Arts and is the
Executive Director of Community Arts Ontario.
*SARITA AHOOJA & HELEN HUDSON* are respected organizers based in Montreal.
Helen is active with the Certain Days Political Prisoner Calendar Project,
the Montreal Anarchist Bookfair and other groups and campaigns. Sarita is
active with No One is Illegal, Solidarity Across Borders, as well as other
groups and campaigns. They are both involved with solidarity struggles and
campaigns related to political prisoners, migrants and Indigenous peoples.
Helen and Sarita are both former coordinators of QPIRG-Concordia.
