VOTE YES TO QPIRG CONCORDIA…!

Hi, I am writing to you from QPIRG Concordia to draw
your attention to our referendum campaign.QPIRG is a
non-profit, independent, student-funded resource
centre located in the heart of Concordia's downtown
campus. We seek to make links between students, their
education, the broader Montreal community and the rest
of the world, as well as opposing discrimination on
campus and in Canadian society in general. We are
currently celebrating our 25th anniversary, marking
over 2 decades of contribution and enrichment to
student life at Concordia.

The People's Potato, Le Frigo Vert, Right To Move, R4
and Sustainable Concordia all started as QPIRG working
groups. This year we have a  record number of active
working groups (15!), including Solidarity Across
Borders, Books to Prisoners, and Haiti Action
Montreal.

Despite the growth QPIRG has seen since its inception,
we have not had an increase to our fee levy in almost
10 years. Due to an increased demand for QPIRG's services, a
broadening of our mandate and the ever- increasing
cost of operating, we are now seeking an additional 1
cent per credit from most undergrad students and
seeking to equalize the fee levy paid by ALL undergrad
students, all of whom have access to and benefit from
our services and programming.

Next week when you vote, VOTE YES TO QPIRG, to
preserve independent voice and action on campus!
