In the past several months, grassroots efforts to oppose the 
Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Olympic Games have heated up: Olympic ceremonies 
have been disrupted; the official Olympic flag was stolen by indigenous 
demonstrators; an Olympic organizing official's office was trashed; 
protesters have been targeted with gag orders and arrests.

All over the province of BC, the games are being resisted. Indigenous 
communities, anti-poverty groups, and the radicalenvironmental movement 
have come together to prevent any further destructionof land, and the 
displacement and criminalization of BC's poorest communities.

The APC has been active in resisting the Olympics, against gentrification 
and displacement in Vancouver's poor downtown Eastside, and in solidarity 
with indigenous struggles for sovereignty and self-determination.

Jill Chettiar and Dave Cunningham of the APC will share perspectives from 
the resistance in Vancouver, as well as provide information about the 2010 
Anti-Colonial Convergence in British Columbia.

Présentation multi-médias anti-colonialiste/anti-capitaliste contre
les JO d'hiver 2010 à Vancouver/Whistler.

Depuis plusieurs mois, des efforts sont mis pour s'opposer aux JO de
Vancouver/Whistler 2010: des cérémonis olympiques ont été
interrompues, le drapeau officiel des Olympiques a été volé par des
manifestant-e-s autochtones, un bureau officiel de l'organisation
olympique a été démoli, les manifestant-e-s ont été la cible
d'arrestation et d'ordre.

À travers toute la Colombie-Britannique (C-B), les JO sont contestés.
Communautés autochtones, groupes de lutte à la pauvreté et des groupes
environnementaux radicaux se sont regroupés pour prévenir toute
destruction de terre, la criminalisation et le déplacement des
communautés les plus pauvres du C-B.

Le APC est actif contre les JO, la gentrification ou
l'embourgeoisement du  quartier pauvre de Vancouver : le "Downtown
Eastside". Le APC travaille en solidarité avec les luttes autochtones
pour l'auto-détermination

tavail de la Convergence anti-colonialiste 2010 du C-B.
