The Centre for Native Education is pleased to invite
you to a performance by acclaimed Inuit spoken word artist...

***TAQRALIK PARTRIDGE***
accompanied by DJ Mad Eskimo (aka Geronimo Inutiq)

Date: Thursday, February 8, 2007
Time: 7:00 p. m.
Place: 1550 de Maisonneuve West (GM Building) room 407

Voted by the Mirror as one of 2007's top people to watch, Taqralik
Partridge mixes northern storytelling with southern speak in hard
hitting prose that evokes the challenges of being Inuit in modern
Canadian society. Her stories of life in the North, memories of
childhood and the slow acculturation of Inuit youth is delivered in a
style that is both uniquely her own and grounded in traditional Inuit
storytelling. An accomplished throat singer, Taqralik joins forces
with DJ Mad Eskimo, an emerging artist in his own right, to bring you
an unforgettable evening of words and music.

This is a free public event. Everyone is invited to attend.
Refreshments will be served.
