Soiree Debat - Video: Rebellion Populaire a Oaxaca /
CIPO-RFM

Dans le cadre de la tournée du CIPO-RFM (Conseil
Indigène Populaire de Oaxaca-Ricardo Flores Magon) au
Québec et en Ontario, nous vous invitons à une soirée
de discussion avec deux représentants autochtones
mexicains, Asunción Lopez et Pedro Bautista.  Suivant
la répression du 14 juin 2006 contre le syndicat des
professeurs-es qui réclamait une augmentation
salariale et l'amélioration des infrastructures pour
l'éducation, le peuple de Oaxaca est descendu dans la
rue pour exiger la démission du gouverneur Ulises
Ruiz.   Avec plus de 360 organisations, le syndicat
des professeurs-es  a formé l'Assemblée Populaire des
Peuples de Oaxaca (APPO) dont fait partie le CIPO-RFM.
  Devant la perspective d'une nouvelle attaque du
gouvernement, l'APPO s'organise pour résister et
demande la solidarité internationale. Venez connaître
la lutte pour la dignité du peuple de Oaxaca!

Evening of Video and Debate - Popular Uprising in
Oaxaca / CIPO-RFM

As part of the Quebec - Ontario Caravan of the
CIPO-RFM (Popular Indigenous Council of Oaxaca –
Ricardo Flores Magon), we invite you to an evening of
discussion with 2 indigenous Mexican representatives
of CIPO: Asuncion Lopez and Pedro Bautista. Earlier
this year, the Oaxaca teachers union was demanding
salary increases and improvement of education
infrastructure and state responded with repression the
14th of June 2006.  Since then, the people of Oaxaca
have taken the streets to demand the removal of
governor Ulises Ruiz, and more than 260 organizations
have formed the Popular Assembly of the Peoples of
Oaxaca (APPO), of which CIPO-RFM is a part.  Facing
the prospect of further repression, APPO is organising
to resist and is asking for international solidarity.
Come get acquainted with the struggle for dignity
among the peoples of Oaxaca!
