      The Mapuche are a First Nation from the southern cone of the
      Americas, whose territory has been occupied by the colonialist
      states of Argentina and Chile.

    *
      The Mapuches have suffered two military campaigns with the
      objectives of bringing them to submission and stealing their
      historic lands.

    *
      Capitalism with the complicity of the Argentinean and Chilean
      states has caused the aggressive exploitation and devastation of
      natural resources.

    *
      The present so called ?democratic governments? have extended the
      use of ?anti-terrorists? laws, established by former
      dictatorships, to criminalize Mapuche resistance.

    * At the present there are more than ten Mapuche Political Prisoners
      and more than 400 Mapuches accused for actions of resistance to
      colonialism, of which ten have had to move to clandestinely.

    *
      More than 90% of Mapuche Land has been occupied and stolen by
      Argentinean, Chilean and Multinational Capitalists.
