--> Opening by Stuart Myiow, from the Kahnawake Mohawk Traditional Council

--> Documentary film screening: "Day Zero"
Produced by John Jeez and Nahnda Hill of Six Nations, "Day Zero" is an
unreleased film which documents the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)
raid of April 20th which attempted to evict indigenous activists from
the land, using tear gas and taser darts, and arresting 16 people.

--> Featured presentation by Jacqueline House of Six Nations
Jacqueline House is one of the women to first reposess what was to be
"Douglas Creek Estates". She is also one of the spokespersons for what
is now Kanehstaton (the Protected Place).

--> Presentation by Neecha
Neecha is an indigenous activist who has been patrolling the
repossessed land along with fellow warriors since the early days of
the reclamation. Originally from Anishnabe territory, she has also
been involved with indigenous de-colonization for many years.

--> Further presentations by people of the Six Nations Land
Reclamation and allies.

Background on Kanehstaton:
On February 28th, 2006, the Haudenosaunee people of Six Nations stood
up against further confiscation of their land and set up a camp on a
housing development construction site located adjacent to Caledonia,
Ontario. Six months later, the people of Six Nations, accompanied by
Onkwehonweh people from across Turtle Island, have successfully
maintained a presence on the land , confronting, all at once, Canadian
colonialism, the criminalization of indigenous resistance and vile
settler racism.

Produit par John Jeez et Nahnda Hill de Six Nations, « Day Zero » est
un film qui sera diffusé pour la première fois, qui documente
l'incursion policière qui a eût lieu le 20 avril passé à Six Nations,
quand la OPP (Police Provinciale de l'Ontario) à essayé d'évincer les
activistes autochtones de leur terre, en utilisant du gaz lacrymogène
et des bâtons électriques, et lors de laquelle 16 personnes ont été
arrêtées.

--> Présentation de Jacqueline House de Six Nations
Jacqueline House est une des premières femmes à participer à l'action
de récupération territoriale du terrain qui fait partie des terres
ancestrales des Six Nations et qui était menacé de devenir le "Douglas
Creek Estates", aux mains de promoteurs immobiliers américains. Elle
est aussi une des porte-parole de lieu de résistance qui est
maintenant devenu Kanehstaton (L'Endroit Protégé)

Historique sur Kanehstaton :
Le 28 février 2006, le peuple Haudenosaunee de Six Nations s'est levé
contre le vol de leur territoire et ont mis en place un campement de
résistance sur le site d'un projet de construction immobilière sur un
terrain adjacent à la ville de Caledonia, en Ontario. Six mois plus
tard, les gens de Six Nations, accompagnés par le peuple Onkwehonweh
de toute l'Ile de la Tortue (Canada), continuent de maintenir une
présence sur ce terrain, confrontant le colonialisme canadien, la
criminalisation de la résistance autochtone pacifique et le racisme
des colons.
