Festival Urbain Culturel Autochtone - "Tous Ensemble"

Le Centre D'Amitié Autochtone de Montréal tiendra un festival culturel
pendant la dernière fin de semaine du mois de septembre (sam. le 24 sept.
et dim. le 25 sept.) au Carré Cabot (Métro Atwater). Les membres du 
Mouvement
de Solidarité avec les Peuples Autochtones aideront à coordonner la
programmation pour les enfants de plus que la garderie à base bénévole
pour cette fin de semaine. Si le bénévolat vous intéresse, que ce soit pour 
un
couple d'heures, pour toute la journée, ou pour toute la fin de semaine,

En particulier, nous recherchons des personnes qui seraient disponibles
entre 10h00 et 17h00 samedi et dimanche. Le CAAM aimerait avoir des
activités coordonnées à travers la journée, donc, si vous avez des
habiletés particulières, tel le maquillage d'enfants, laissez nous savoir. 
En général,
nous planifions avoir une zone pour le bricolage, de plus que de jouer une
variété de jeux, et, possiblement, avoir une période des contes avec des
aînés du Centre d'Amitié. Le dîner et ainsi que des rafraîchissements
seront fournis aux bénévoles.

  Childcare volunteers needed for the 1st annual
Urban Aboriginal Cultural Festival - "All Together"

The Native Friendship Centre of Montreal will be holding a weekend-long
cultural festival at the end of September (Sat. Sept. 24 and Sun. Sept.
25) in Cabot Square (Atwater Metro). Members of the Indigenous Peoples
Solidarity Movement will be helping to coordinate children’s programming
and volunteer childcare for the weekend. If you are interested in
volunteering, for a few hours, all day, or all weekend, please contact us.

In particular, we are looking for people who are available for shifts on
either day, between 10am and 5pm. The NFCM would like to have coordinated
activities throughout the day, so if you have any special skills, such as
face painting, please let us know. In general, we will plan to have an
arts and crafts area, play a variety of games, and, possibly have story
telling with elders from the Friendship Centre. Lunch and drinks will be
provided to volunteers.

«Tous Ensemble! – All Together!» Urban Aboriginal Cultural Festival

Montreal, September 24th-25th, 2005

On September 24th and 25th, 2005, the Native Friendship Center of Montreal, 
in partnership with Peter McGill, will be hosting a Cultural Festival with 
the characteristics of a traditional Aboriginal powwow. The festival will be 
held at Cabot Square Park, located on the corner of Ste Catherine and 
Atwater, with park entrances opening at 10 A.M. Grand Entry is at 11A.M.

The NFCM, in partnership with the Peter-McGill Community Council, have 
launched a new project; «Tous Ensemble! – All Together!» The festival will 
be our conclusion to the three summer events that have all been located in 
the surrounding Atwater area.

«Tous Ensemble! – All Together!» Activites
-   Local talent will be featuring traditional singing, drumming and 
dancing.  The public will be encouraged to join and participate
-   Mural Painting: we will finish Leaving Our Mark! and help paint a mural 
on the North side of Ste Catherine, between Lambert-Closse and Chomedy.
-   Aboriginal arts and craft vendors will be on site
-   In the spirit of «Tous Ensemble! – All Together!» the public will have 
the opportunity to meet and converse with Montreal’s urban Aboriginal 
people.

Le 24 et 25 septembre 2005, le centre d'amitié autochtone de Montréal, en 
association avec Inter-action du quartier Peter McGill, présentera une 
grande fête interculturelle dans le style d'un Pow Wow traditionnel.  La 
fête aura lieu au Square Cabot, situé au coin de la rue Ste Catherine et du 
boulevard Atwater.  Les entrées du parc seront ouvertes à 10h du matin, avec 
la Grande Entrée à 11h.

«Tous Ensemble! – All Together!» Activités!
-   Des artistes locaux seront misent en vedette, et la participation du 
publique sera encouragée.
-   On terminera le projet Laisser Notre Marque! en complétant une peinture 
murale sur la côte nord de la rue Ste Catherine, entre Lambert-Closse et 
Chomedy.
-   Des artisanats autochtones seront vendus.
