[IPSM] TONIGHT: Debate on ecological/economic challenges of industrial forestry in Québec

There will be a discussion-debate IN FRENCH on the economic/ecological
challenges of the current forestry in Québec. Richard Desjardins,
co-author of L'Erreur Boréale, will be part of the debate along with
Raphael Picard, the Chief of the Innu community in Pessamit (where the
René-Levasseur island is being raped), Robert Beauregard (wood
industrialist), Louis Bélanger (Forestry teacher) and Michel Vincent
(director of international trade sector and of the economy and market
sector of the Conseil de l'Industrie Forestière du Québec - an industrial
lobby).

Many "stakeholders" are being represented : activists, indigenous peoples,
researchers and industrialists... It will be a important discussion in
trying to fully unbderstand all the challenges the "forest industry" poses
(imposes?) to our society.

in a car-pooler that heads toward Québec (16$);
2) The departure time is 6PM and you might have others too... call at

of either 4, 5 or 6 o'clock.

Remember that such a debate with those higly influential people at the
same table on the same subject will not be repeated before a long time.

We will meet at 5:30 in front of the MSE building (just three steps up
from the Milton Gate on University St.) to head towards Allo-stop if you
want to join us.
