Demonstration of support for the Innus of Pessamit

Place: In front of the superior court of Québec (coin St-Laurent /
Notre-Dame) metro champ-de-mars
Date: 17th of May at 12:30 PM

Since the injunction of the Band Council of Pessamit, in December of
2004, lawyers for the Innus have presented, not only another
injunction motion to accelarate the slow judicial proceedings, but for
an order of safety to be pronounce for the island. That way, no forest
cuts would be allowed on the island this summer .

There's only a mere 7% of boreal forest left in Quebec that has never
been exploited, let's not let the island be without life, come and
demonstrate to send a clear and precise message to the Court; we want
to leave to future generations a healthy forest!!! COME AND SUPPORT
THE INNUS OF PESSAMIT AGAINST BOTH BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT AND THE
CHAINSAWS OF KRUGER!
