Everyone is invited to a special talk, "Northern Pipe-Dreams, Northern
Nightmares - Return of the Mackenzie Valley Pipeline, The B-Grade Sequel"
by Petr Cizek. The talk is sponsored by Friends of Grassy Narrows, and
will take place at 7:30 pm, Monday, March 7, at 70 Albert St, 2nd floor
(the Boreal Forest Network office).
Petr Cizek has worked with the Deh Cho First Nation on their land claims
and self-government negotiations; recently he has assisted the Canadian
Arctic Resources Committee in mapping cumulative impacts of the proposed
Mackenzie Valley Pipeline (see
http://www.carc.org/2005/mapping_cumulative.php). An article by Cizek on
the pipeline is forthcoming this week in Canadian Dimension.
