F. Henry Lickers  is of the Turtle Clan within the
Seneca Nation. He is the Co-Chair on the Aboriginal
Knowledge Subcommittee with COSEWIC and a member of
the Science and Technology Advisory Board for
Environment Canada. He was a member of the Panel on
Ecological Integrity of Canada’s National Parks as
well as being the Scientific Co-Chair for the 
Haudenosaunee Environmental Taskforce. For the past 27
years Mr.Lickers has been the director of the
Department of Environment with the Mohawk Council of
Akwesasne. And he still makes time for his wife and
