510 Main Street
Why we are gathering: The shooting death of
Matthew Dumas, an Aboriginal teenager, has shocked
the Aboriginal community of Winnipeg.
Matthew Dumas was shot twice by the Winnipeg
Police Service on Monday January 31 at
approximately 3pm on Dufferin Street.
Aboriginal Youth Circle will be organizing a
peaceful community vigil to grieve the loss of
Matthew Dumas, and offer prayers for the Dumas
family in their time of need. We welcome any and
all community members to attend and offer their
prayers for Matthew Dumas and other victims of
police brutality.
