Hi,

This is a shout out to come and join us this Friday and Saturday (October
1st and 2nd) at the "Mixing Pop and Politics: Music Making Change"
conference.   Participants include Ian MacKaye, slangblossum, Davey D,  k-os,
Nardwuar the Human Serviette, d'bi young, Kembrew McLeod,  Bob Wiseman, Brendan
Canning of Broken Social Scene, Nah-ee-lah, Rosina Kazi, Paul Shore,from GNN,

Mixing Pop & Politics: Music Making Change is a FREE two-day event that
checks out the vital role music plays in mobilizing communities and
promoting human rights. In the current global climate, musicians, artists,
young people and activists need a space where they can come together to
discuss issues that are vital to their communities and to their lives. This
conference is it.

Pop Montreal and the Rights & Democracy Network have joined forces to tackle
issues of relevance to musicians working in a globalized world.  This is a
FREE event being held at the Just for Laughs museum, 2111 St-Laurent.
