MONDAY SEPTEMBER 13th -> FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 17th

>From September 13th - September 17th, CKUT Radio in Montreal will
broadcast special programming, aimed to highlight, examine and explore the
struggle for self-determination of Palestinian refugees here in Montreal
and throughout the world. This broadcast will provide an on-air form, to
discuss and debate the history and the current realities facing one of the
largest documented refugee populations in the world today. Focusing on the
Palestinian resistance to the deadly & illegal Israeli military
occupation, to the struggle for basic human rights in the refugee camps of
Lebanon, to the struggle against Palestinian deportations here in
Montreal.
This broadcast also aims to commemorate the victims of the September 1982
massacre of thousands of Palestinian refugees in the camps of Sabra and
Chatila, during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The massacre of Sabra &
Chatila remains one of the deepest wounds for Palestinians throughout the
world, remaining a symbol of the many grave injustices which the
Palestinian refugee population has faced throughout the world, since the
displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees during the
Arab - Israeli wars of 1948 & 1967.
This broadcast will also take place in the lead-up to the large-scale
demonstration on the streets of Montreal organized by the Coalition
Against the Deportation of Palestinian Refugees (refugees.resist.ca), on
Saturday September 18th. Within this context the Stateless & Deported
broadcast will highlight the ongoing struggle of Palestinian refugees in
Montreal fighting against deportation, featuring a variety of voices
representing the over 100 Palestinian refugee currently facing deportation
from Canada.

simply tune-in to CKUT Radio at 90.3fm, for listeners in other cities and
countries you can tune via Cable FM at 91.7 or via the internet at
www.ckut.ca.
-> MONDAY SEPTEMBER 13th: Off the Hour, 5-6pm
A hour broadcast on CKUT's Community News program Off the Hour, which will
explore the history of Palestinian solidarity organizing in Montreal, the
current struggle against Palestinian deportations and the links between
the Palestinian liberation struggle and the struggle for indigenous
self-determination on Turtle Island. This hour will be broadcast in
French.
-> WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 15th: Caravan, 2-3pm
A hour broadcast on Caravan, a CKUT community program, which presents an
Arab/Muslim perspective on currents events, from politics to religion to
culture. This hour will focus on the global reality of the Palestinian
refugees question, also addressing the question of Palestinian
deportations in Canada and perspectives concerning Canada's current
immigration policies.
-> WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 15th: Off the Hour, 5-6pm
A hour broadcast on Off the Hour, which will explore the Palestinian
question in regards to international law, focusing on the issue of the
Right of Return for Palestinian refugees. This hour will feature voices of
activists involved with the Palestinian solidarity movement in Montreal
and throughout the world, who will explore the realities involved in the
relationship between international law and the Palestinian liberation
struggle.
-> FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 17th: Off the Hour, 5-6pm
A hour broadcast on CKUT's Off the Hour, which will feature an overview of
the struggle against Palestinian deportations here in Montreal and an
on-air summary of the ongoing political campaign against Palestinian
deportations here in Montreal. The hour will feature interviews with
organizers involved with the Coalition Against the Deportation of
Palestinian Refugees.
