Trish teaches courses in Transsexual and Transgender Studies at the Simone
de Beauvoir Institute and does trans rights work with C.U.P.E.. Her first
book of poetry, Wanting in Arabic, was published by TSAR in 2002

Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz is a historian and professor in the Department of
Ethnic Studies and Women’s Studies at California State University,
Hayward. She is the author of two memoirs Red Dirt: Growing Up Okie and
Outlaw Woman: A Memoir of the War Years, 1960-1975 as well as scholarly
books and articles, including The Great Sioux Nation, Roots of Resistance,
and Indians of the Americas.  Her newest book, Miskitos, Contras,
Sandinistas in Reagan’s Imperial War will be published by South End Press,
2004.  Dr. Dunbar-Ortiz remains active in social justice movements,
particularly in the field of international human rights and is cofounder
and director of the Indigenous World Association.
