The Case of Nidal Aloul

This is a call out for courtroom support for Nidal Aloul who is facing a
bogus charge of uttering a death threat for saying, "In two years, I'll be
famous and you'll be selling falafel." Should he be found guilty, his
student status would be jeopardized and he would face possible
deportation. For those of you unfamiliar with his case, you can access

On Tuesday June 8th, Nidal's defence lawyer will be presenting closing
arguments. It would be good for the judge to see that Nidal has extensive
community support, so please do your best to come down.

The Municipal courthouse is at 775 Gosford (Champ de Mars metro).  The
proceedings will begin at 9:30am sharp in room 1,40.

Nidal's case is yet another example of how Palestinian solidarity
activists are being targeted, harrassed, and criminalized at Concordia
University simply for exercising their rights to freedom of expression.
