The Native Friendship Centre of Montreal holds a Christmas party for kids
on December 11. They distribute presents and donations at this party, and
for some kids this is the only place they'll get presents and gifts of
necessities.

They currently don't have any gifts suitable for kids over 6 years.
Donations of new-condition gifts, wrapped (with note about who might be an
appropriate recipient) or unwrapped, wrapping paper, tape, ribbons, cash
can be dropped off during business hours at the NFCM (2001 St. Laurent,
499-1854), or at the McGill First Peoples' House (3505 Peel) until
*December 10*.

The NFCM also distributes food hampers, has a lunch program, community
suppers, and food through outreach and street patrol. They could use
donations of *cash*, holiday dinner food, (turkeys, hams, chickens, fresh
vegetables, non-perishables), coffee/tea/hot chocolate/juice, bread and
lunch meat, snack foods, sandwich wrap, baggies, sandwich toppings, sugar,
stir stix, sweet-and-low, wild game, plastic plates and cutlery.

The centre could also use bus tickets, winter gear, socks, blankets,
sleeping bags, towels, face cloths, toiletries, tampons, toothpaste,
toothbrushes, craft supplies for support groups . . .

These donations are always needed, and can be made to:
