Mohamed Cherfi is an outspoken non-status Algerian who was deported to the
United States after his sanctuary was violated at the Saint-Pierre United
Church in Quebec City on March 5, 2004. Mohamed is currently in detention
at the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility in New York State. Next
Wednesday, he will have a court hearing, as he continues to fight a
possible deportation to Algeria, where as a conscientous objection and
human rights activist, he faces imprisonment or worse.

A nation-wide day of action will take place this MONDAY, with actions and
demonstrations confirmed in Vancouver, Edmonton, Guelph, Toronto, Ottawa,
Montreal and Quebec City.
