Hi everyone,

There are issues with the Parliamentary website and it shows/showed the
wrong numbers for the PM offices. I've flagged this problem with them, I
hope they change it soon. In the meantime here are the right numbers:
613-992-4211 (Parliamentary office) and 514-277-6020 (Montreal
constituency office). I've called both numbers and they work. Also, I
was told that to email the PM it's better to use this email address:
pm at pm.gc.ca. I've updated all the info from the previous email below and
on our website and social media. Apologies for the inconvenience. Please
take action again if you tried before and it didn't work. Thank you!

Also here are 2 new items that will most likely interest you:

1. There will be a march in solidarity with the Wet'suwet'en nation on
Friday January 10 at noon starting on Parliament Hill. Details at
https://www.facebook.com/events/617765542319594/

2. There will be a screening of the documentary on the 2016 murder of
Colten Boushie, a young Cree man in Saskatchewan: "Nîpawistamâsowin: We
Will Stand Up" with Tasha Hubbard, the film director on Monday January
13 at 6pm at the University of Ottawa. Details:

We hope to see you there!

Here's a blurb you can use if you'd like:

Hello, I'm contacting you from [city] on [this Indigenous territory:
find which one here: https://native-land.ca/] to urge you to:
- Stop colonial violence: stop using the RCMP or any other force to
harass and criminalize Indigenous peoples from protecting their land,
water, air and cultures, as well as dispossess Indigenous peoples of
their traditional unceded territories;

- Respect the sovereignty as well as the free, prior and informed
consent of Indigenous peoples as stated in the UN Declaration on the
Right of Indigenous Peoples, which includes respecting the refusal of
pipelines and other resource-extracting projects that are damaging to
the environment and for which the Wet'suwet'en nation have not given
free, prior and informed consent to.

- Stop violently supporting those members of the 1% who are stealing
resources and condemning our children to a world rendered uninhabitable
by climate change.

c) Sign this new petition to Trudeau and other ministers:
