[IPSMO] Tomorrow! April 8 Action in Solidarity with #NoDAPL and #StopKinderMorgan

What: Rally to Defund Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain Pipeline and the 
Dakota Access Pipeline, in solidarity with Indigenous Resistance.

CALLING for people in unceded Algonquin territory, Ottawa, to demand 
that Canadian banks stop funding pipelines!

Who: Organized by Indigenous Solidarity Movement Ottawa (IPSMO), 
featuring other speakers

Like in many other places in the world, people in Ottawa will express 
their solidarity with Water Protectors at Standing Rock and elsewhere on 
Turtle Island by calling Canadian Banks, especially TD Trust, Scotia 
Bank, and RBC, to withdraw their financial commitments to the Dakota 
Access Pipeline (DAPL), and investments in new tar sands pipelines.

This action will target a branch of a bank that is financing pipelines. 
We demand that the bank immediately withdraw its financing for DAPL, and 
its support for Kinder Morgan's proposed Trans-Mountain pipeline 
expansion. Kinder Morgan is under financial distress and desperately 
looking for investors to back its climate-killing pipeline.

We call on everyone who supports this demand to gather at the Human 
Rights Monument on April 8th at 1:00 PM. Join us to make your voices 
heard and to learn more about the movement to demand that banks divest 
from tar sands pipelines across Turtle Island.

Come out in solidarity with Indigenous water defenders and frontline 
communities, and in refusing the expansion of pipelines across Turtle 
Island!

the human rights violations carried out to force the pipeline through 
Indigenous lands without consent!

#StopKinderMorgan - Kinder Morgan is under financial distress and 
desperately looking for investors to back its climate-killing pipeline. 
It’s relying on TD bank to help them find investors.

#StopKeystoneXL, the mega-tar sands pipeline that Trump and Trudeau have 
now revived!
