Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) is an annual international series of events
held in cities across the globe. IAW seeks to raise awareness about
Israel's apartheid policies towards the Palestinians and to build support
for the growing Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel
campaign.

Students Against Israeli Apartheid is proud to announce our diverse series
of events for our 11th annual Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW)!:

------MONDAY, MARCH 9

WORKSHOP: APARTHEID 101 (free)

When: 2-4PM
Where: 326 Unicentre, Carleton U (OPIRG office)
A workshop and consequent discussion to familiarize participants with
apartheid and how it looks in the context of Israel.

FILM SCREENING: PRESSURE POINTS (free)

When: 6-9PM
Where: 2104 Canal Building, Carleton U

‘Pressure Points’ is a documentary telling the story of Berkeley’s
historic divestment debate. We'll follow with a discussion about
divestment at Carleton. #CUdivest


------TUESDAY, MARCH 10

PALESTINIAN & INDIGENOUS REFLECTIONS ON COLONIALISM (free)

When: 6:30-9:30PM
Where: 3275 Mackenzie Building, Carleton U

A panel discussion on colonialism and apartheid from Turtle Island to
Palestine, featuring Clayton Thomas Muller, an organizer and writer on
environmental justice and indigenous rights from the Mathias Colomb Cree
Nation, and Suha Jarrar, a Palestinian social justice activist and
researcher.

------WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11

RACE & POLICE VIOLENCE - NORTH AMERICA TO PALESTINE (free)

When: 6:30-9:30PM
Where:182 Unicentre, Carleton U

Featuring Ahmad Abuznaid, Dream Defenders, and Cherrell Brown, Justice
League NYC. Both participated in a 2015 delegation to Palestine aimed at
connecting Black movement leaders in the US with those on the ground in
Palestine.

As solidarity grows, we ask - what do Palestinian and Black liberation
have in common? Looking at colonization and apartheid matrixes in North
America and Israel is at the root of it.

PALESTINIAN WOMEN PRISONERS (free)

Where: 100 St. Patrick's Building, Carleton U

Dr. Nahla Abdo, Arab Canadian feminist, activist, and author, and Mariam
Barghouti, Palestinian activist and journalist, will talk about the
anti-colonial struggles and experiences of Palestinian women prisoners.

VERSES VS APARTHEID ft. REMI KANAZI & OPENSECRET

A night of poetry, music, and culture in solidarity with the Palestinian
struggle for freedom. This year, our lineup includes King Kimbit, Radiyah
Chowdhury, Ikenna "OpenSecret" Onyegbula and Nicole Lefebvre, Remi Kanazi,
and more!
