Decolonial Picnic at Chaudière Falls

Sunday, August 9
Starting at 1:30pm at Dundonald Park
or meet us at Victoria Island at 2:30pm
Free!
Free Food and potluck!

Come join us for a fun community oriented afternoon - food, music and
learning about the history of the Chaudière Falls and their Islands.

We will meet at Dundonald Park at 1h30pm on August 9th and walk or bike
together to Victoria Island. On Victoria Island we will have a group
picnic at 3h00pm. Musician Leonard Youngfoot will be playing, as well as
other artists, we hope. We will tour the Island and the Chaudière Falls
from 4h00 to 5h00pm and have a discussion about the proposed Condominium
development and colonialism there.

Lindsay Lambert will be joining us and will be talking about the history
of the area. Lindsay is a local activist who has been working to free
the falls and the islands for many years. He is very knowledgeable about
the history of the area, as well as the backstory to the proposed Zibi
condominium development.

Other speakers to be confirmed.

If you would like to contribute with the entertainment or with you
knowledge of the Chaudière falls and the proposed destruction, contact
us.

We will bring some food, and are asking everyone to bring some as well.
