Welcoming Feast for Indigenous Australians

The Odawa Native Friendship Centre, 250 City Centre Avenue
Four Indigenous Australian activists are visiting Canada in the
Nation-2-Nation tour, discussing Indigenous forms of governance and
resistance. Everyone is invited to attend (with a special call out to
dancers and drummers). A dish for the pot-luck is greatly appreciated.

pow-wow hosted by elders of the Algonquin nation to celebrate Algonquin

land.

Indigenous Adoptee Gathering
Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre, 300 Peres Blanc Avenue
For the first time ever, adult adoptees of the “sixties scoop” are
gathering on unceded Algonquin territory. It is time to come together and
talk, share and support each other on our journeys. This event is
exclusively for adoptees/foster care survivors and created by
adoptees/foster care survivors.
There are a few spots left for registration (registration cannot be made at
the door), and the event is currently seeking volunteers.
