Alonguins of Barriere Lake
Unauthorized logging was started on the territory recently, and the
community has responded with protests to stop the logging and get
negotiations to happen.

The Asinabka Vision for Chaudiere Falls and National Indigenous Centre
There is news that a development project is set to be finalized for two of
the islands in between Ottawa and Hull at the Chaudiere Falls site, the
Domtar lands.
This may impact the vision for a National Indigenous Centre as put forward
by the late Algonquin leader Grandfather William Commanda.
Windmill Development company is holding public consulation on their plans
on Wed Dec 11, 5-9pm at the Cdn Museum of Civilization.
