Are you interested in becoming involved with IPSMO, the Indigenous Peoples
Solidarity Movement Ottawa?

Come to one of our two upcoming Orientation Sessions, where you will learn
about what we do, how we operate, and how you might be able to be a part.

Canadian Mining and Indigenous Self-Determination: Perspectives from
Panama and Ontario
Tues Sept 25, 7pm
Desmarais Bldg room 1110, University of Ottawa (55 Laurier Ave)
-- IPSMO will be co-hosting an event with Indigenous leader Celestino
Mariano Gallardo Gallardo from Panama who will talk about the new law to
protect indigenous territory from mining in Panama and the role of
Canadian CSR policy in the conflict that led to this. Bob Lovelace will
join to share his reflections from the Ardoch Algonquin struggle here and
from his travels in South America.

Families of Sisters in Spirit National Vigil on Parliament Hill
Thurs Oct 4, 6:15pm
Parliament Hill
-- LET'S FILL THE HILL! 500 strong for missing and murdered Indigenous
women and girls!
This year FSIS has teamed up with Women's Event Network to lead the 34th
annual Take Back the Night March also being held on October 4th in Ottawa!
The Take Back the Night March will leave from the Hill immediately after
the vigil at approx. 7:30 pm.
