There are a lot of events coming up in the next month or so.

*Indigenous Solidarity For Settlers workshop*
Tues, Sept 11, 6:30-9:30pm
at Jack Purcell Community Centre, near Elgin & Gilmour

*The goal of this workshop is to help educate non-indigenous peoples of
this land about the importance of indigenous solidarity, to dialogue and
learn from each other about what solidarity means and how to put it in
practice, and to work on our anti-colonial analyses.

*APTN Book Launch
*
Book launch of “Original People. Original Television: the launching of the
Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.”  I would be honoured if you would
come out and celebrate with me.

The book is a behind-the-scenes look at a little known revolution in
Canadian broadcasting. It’s a story of how a handful of broadcasters, film
makers and supporters in remote reserves and tiny Arctic communities banded
together and launched a movement that changed the face of media in Canada.
