[Indigsol] Volunteers Needed for June 19 and 20 to support KAIROS's initiative!

SUPPORT THE KAIROS WALK FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DECLARATION OF
INDIGENOUS HUMAN RIGHTS.

Youth and/or Adult Volunteers are needed in Ottawa to urge the new
government to address Aboriginal Human Rights and create renewed
relationships with the First Nations, Inuit and Metis people!

- About 20 Volunteers needed for June 19th, starting at 10 am with shifts
in the afternoon or evening depending on your schedule, at the Bronson
Centre, 211 Bronson Avenue in Ottawa - to construct an enormous national
banner by attaching, by velcro, hundreds of 2ft x 4 ft banners for a
Kairos walk from Victoria Island, to Parliament Hill and the Human Rights
monument on June 20. Banners are being collected across Canada by train
and will be delivered to the Bronson Centre.

- Nine Volunteers needed to serve at 3 water stations, three people per
station, June 20th for the Kairos walk from Victoria Island, via the
Supreme Court, to Parliament Hill. Form a group and wear a hat,
neckerchief and sunscreen and bring an umbrella for rain or shine.

- Ten Volunteers needed June 20th at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 120
Lisgar St at Elgin from 12:30 - 3:30 pm to set up and clean up for the
Kairos Luncheon Feast.

- Ten “Marshalls” are needed to monitor walker safety

- Ten “Engagers” are needed to solicit people to sign the Kairos petition
urging the government to implement the UN Declaration of Indigenous Human
Rights and to gather comments for the Kairos website.

- More Volunteers are needed to Billet about 50 people coming to Ottawa to
participate in the Kairos demonstration June 20. Contact Helen Smith at
