i went to cango afar event for afar tribe in africa. learn about
biofilters. guy they got from who designed this concrete (poured) very
resilient biosand filter (mould) - i went thinking i could learn how it was
done, and so this group could be involed in helping ensure the health,
sustainability and *resilience *of native communities, ie in case of *crisis,
*suddenly being disconnected and unable to get supplies in by GAS vehiicle,
or otherwise continue to receive external suport, etc.
I learned from Warren Creade )sp?)
That hs has already, himself, been involved in supporting that issue and
cause in that way...
Warren said they flew him down, he trained them how make and maintiains the
filters etc (and how to teach that, on some level as well)
I see the potential for networking.
Also, I think people should be warned about the level of activity of the
list, and if it is not possible to subscribe in digetst forma1, perhaps it
would be useful for more htan one list, or something else, etc. with one
being more of a summary, the other being full discussion, etc.
