I phoned Cornwall Customs office via 800-461-9999.
Gave them my name and said we had received news two Native women were 
detained at the border, and one ended up in hospital.  We heard they had 
been physically assaulted, and community members wanted to know where they 
were.
Reception gave me the customs desk, who then said they can't release any 
info. I said it was a matter of public safety.
Customs desk said to call Akwesasne Police Dept. 613-575-2000.
Reception gave me to an officer.

Officer said Grandmother Katenies was now at the Ottawa Carleton Detention 
Centre.
