*IPSMO Minutes- January 14*

*Tom Keefer update from Jeff*
-OPIRG is providing the $150 honorarium
-he will come on in the morning on Friday, February 1st, for OPIRG training
in settler solidarity

*Native Youth Movement update from Matt k*
-coming to Carleton Feb 1, at 7pm
-focusing on resistence to 2010
-we need someone to introduce them, preferably someone who is involved with
the PGA and/or No 2010 to tie in local initiatives- does this sound like
you?
-IPSMO will have a table with merchandise from Exile, our zine, whatever
else you can think of

*Movie Night*
- January 17th has been cancelled, Matt k is rescheduling it for February
12th
- Andy and Angela are tracking down a video (Unrepentant by Kevin and
Annette is an option- Alt. Heritage Moments showed it last semester), will
have suggestions for next week [Andy- I don't have you e-mail address,
please reply to this so that we can discuss videos]

*Rock Against Harper*
-Yes, IPSMO will be making a submission (based off our zine)
-Jeff, Matt and Andy are sorting this out and will float it across the list

*Info Fair- Wed 16th & Thursday 17th*
-there are shifts to fill

Other tasks (drop off at OPIRG office before 9:45)
-display board  (Is the Oxaca one still around?)

*Uranium Mining Issue*
-Jim Harding (author of Canada's Deadly Secret and long time
anti-nuclear activist) is coming to town
-Angela is waiting to hear back as to whether he can come and speak at
Carleton. Friday the Jan 21st at lunch or in the afternoon is the likely
time

If he can
-Jeff is booking a room
-Matt k is doing a poster
-Angela will do intro

It seems likely the occupation site will go up again.
-Matt k is checking with Lynn Daniluk and Frontenac Contacts to see what
supplies may be needed
-will begin collection of supplies at Infofair depending on the response
from Frontenac

*Walking Tour Update from Matt k*
-a little less appealing now that it is cold. . . but there is lots to be
done on this before things warm up again.
-matt k will send around e-mail as to which areas need to be researched
and scripted

*Next meeting*
-Suggested time Monday, Jan 21 at 2:30pm due to time constraint of possible
Harding event.
