[Indigsol] info for working groups- response needed!

happy 2008!  Hope you all had  some time to sit back and relax over the last
couple of weeks if thats your thing!

There are some really important dates coming up in the world of OPIRG! They
are listed below:

*January 16th and 17th (wed and thurs)*: OPIRG INFO FAIR in the Atrium
*January 17th (thurs)*- IPSMO movie night
*January 30th(wed) *- OPIRG Carleton Winter Colloquium Speaking Event
featuring Derek Jensen
             an activist, author, and philosopher, is the author of Endgame,
                     volumes one and two; A Language Older Than Words; and
The                      Culture of Make Believe (a finalist for the 2003 J.
Anthony Lukas                  Book Prize), among other books. Jensen's
writing has been                          described as "breaking and mending
the reader's heart" (Publishers                Weekly)

*January 31st (Thursday)*- Books to Prisoners Film Screening
*Friday February 1st and Saturday 2nd*- Tools for Change Bi-Annual Training
*Friday February 1st  7pm- Kanahus Pellkey*
             Kanahus Pellkey is a Secwepemc and Ktnuxa from the interior
                 of British Columbia, Canada. Kanahus Pellkey is Warrior
and                        Spokesperson for the Native Youth Movement. She
is a community              organizer, and has worked with many Indigenous
Nations throughout             Turtile Island.

TO DO LIST for working groups:

*1) OPIRG INFO FAIR*
A)Please consult your schedules and let me know your availability for the
Info Fair. I created a doodle poll to aid in gaging availability. It is
accessible via the following link:

If you have any questions please let me know.

B) Consider and prepare display items, info about projects,upcoming events
info, meeting dates, etc in order to inform people about your group during
the info fair.

2) MOVIE NIGHTS*
If your group has already selected a movie night date then please let me
know the name of the film you will be showing.

If you haven't selected a date then let me know when you would like to
screen your film and the film you'll screen.

*3). Group Liaisons *
Please inform me of your group's finance and general OPIRG liaisons. I will
need their name, email and phone number.

*4) Other events*
The wednesday weekly and website are great places to announce events. Write
ups for the Wednesday Weekly can be sent to me vcopirg at gmail.com. Please
send them in plain text (no color, italics, bold, regular size font (12)).
To guarantee a spot please send announcements by the Tuesday morning prior
to the ww in which you want your announcement to appear.
