Held annually in Ottawa, CANSEC brings together a host of war-profiteers
to showcase their finest “security and defense technology.” Notable
war-profiteers like Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Lockheed
Martin and many more display their latest methods for cost-effective
slaughter and surveillance to prospective buyers from government and
private industry, including CSIS, the RCMP, Immigration and Border
Services, and the canadian military. The People's global Action bloc
-Ottawa is organizing to shut down CANSEC and they will give a talk about
why they oppose it.

The Anarchist Discussion Group meets every second Sunday afternoon. We are
local Ottawa activists and community members who share an
anti-authoritarian and anti-capitalist viewpoint. We are involved in
diverse struggles and believe in the importance of maintaining a link
between theory and practice. Discussions are based on readings,
presentations or short films. If there are readings, they are optional and
will be summarized at the beginning of the discussion.

The Anarchist Discussion Group is affiliated with Common Cause Ottawa.
